As Ulta Beauty's Chief Marketing Officer, Michelle Crossan-Matos drives value and sustainable business growth as a change agent, strategic leader, and hands-on pragmatic problem solver.
At Columbia Business School's BRITE '24 conference, Crossan-Matos shared insights on blending brand purpose and strategy to positively impact stakeholders and continuously innovate amidst rapid societal and industry changes.
One of the core tenets of brand strategy is not to try to be all things to all people. However, the founders of Ulta Beauty aim to bend this rule by launching with a full range of mass and prestige brands across multiple categories at varying price points.
Crossan-Matos oversees integrated marketing, analytics, creative, customer experience, member loyalty, public relations, consumer insights, guest services, and UB Media for the leading beauty retailer.
Prior to joining Ulta Beauty, she was Chief Marketing, Citizenship & Communications Officer at Samsung Electronics America.
